The theme for the 2024 Conference is

"Rehabilitation nurses: Evolving with the community"

Healthcare is evolving, as it always has done and continues to do so. In rehabilitation, this evolution brings with it the potential for new and improved diagnostics, treatments, advances in assistive technologies, and longer lifespans with outcomes (both good and bad) impacting on consumers, healthcare professionals, and communities alike. The future is coming and the conference theme this year reminds us that the needs of our communities are evolving; if rehabilitation is to remain a valuable part of the healthcare landscape and provide the best care possible, rehabilitation nurses and nursing practice must also evolve.

The aim of the ARNA conference is to:

  • Deliver education and training about rehabilitation for nurses working in rehabilitation and working outside designated rehabilitation services
  • Enhance rehabilitation skills and capabilities of nurses generally
  • Provide a platform to share the very latest research in rehabilitation nursing care
  • Encourage networking and collaboration
  • Build a strong, empowered and capable community of nurses who understand the importance and practice of rehabilitation across all healthcare services and settings
