THE VENUE
Crown Conference Centre
Crown Promenade, Crown Melbourne, 8 Whiteman Street, Southbank VIC 3006
Crown Conference Centre is a unique, purpose-built facility with a clean modern design that provides the ideal backdrop, affording an abundance of natural light, a flexible layout, along with the latest in audio-visual technology. The Centre has two main plenary rooms, a dedicated exhibition space, and a pillarless conference hall. The space is also eco-friendly with supporting linen-free furniture and sensor-activated lights.
GETTING AROUND
Melbourne is easy to explore by bike, tram, bus, train or taxi. The city's public transport network extends from the city centre in all directions, and there's even a free tram zone throughout the central city and Docklands.
Trains are a great way to visit attractions across the city and reach the surrounding suburb. Major stations in the city include Central, Flinders and Southern Cross Station. Use the Journey planner tool to find your route.
To use public transport outside of the free tram zone, you need to purchase a myki card. You can purchase a myki card from retail outlets displaying the myki sign, visitor centres and at train stations.
If you’re driving, you’ll find parking in the city quick and safe, with more than 70,000 car spaces available.

GALA DINNER
Dive into the magic of the ocean and let your imagination run wild at our 'Under the Sea' Gala Dinner! Celebrate getting together at the 34th ARNA Conference with new and old friends alike, by joining us for a gala dinner on Thursday 23 October at Melbourne's SEALIFE Aquarium! Whether you go full mermaid chic or simply add a splash of sea-inspired flair, we invite you to dress for an unforgettable evening.
You will be able to purchase a Gala Dinner ticket during the registration process.
WHAT TO PACK
Melbourne may be known for its variable weather - the city has been described as having four seasons in one day - but it can still be enjoyed all year round. The October average temperature is 20°C, however the weather can cool quickly. Plan ahead by bringing an umbrella and wear layers that can be worn as needed. Dress at the conference is smart casual. Don't forget to pack something to wear for the Gala Dinner to match the theme and if you aren't keen on dressing up for the dinner, then pack something smart to wear and get ready to have some fun!

ACCOMMODATION
Onsite accommodation is available at Crown Promenade. There are discounted accommodation rates for conference delegates - but room numbers at these rates are strictly limited.
DIETARIES
The Conference Organisers recognise that some delegates may have special dietary needs. Please advise the Conference organisers via the registration form.

FIRST TIMERS
It can be daunting coming to a conference for the first time. But don't worry! We can buddy you with an ARNA conference committee member, who will look after you!
