Morling college sTUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships to attend the Spiritual Care Australia Conference are being offered to final year students preparing for certification in spiritual care:

Successful applicants are granted a complimentary ticket to the full conference, including attendance at the conference dinner. Note: students will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Application Process

To be certified as a Spiritual Care Practitioner the usual path is to have completed a diploma or degree in theology, philosophy or religious studies or related studies, and to have completed supervised reflective practice in spiritual care through a recognised course such as Clinical Pastoral Education or similar, and who can articulate an understanding of spiritual care and how it aligns with their own spirituality.

For applicants, full-time or part-time, who are on the pathway to meeting the above criteria please forward:

·       a one-page CV outlining your current education, training and experience relevant to spiritual care practice.

·       a 250-word reflection offering why they are interested in spiritual care and what are their hopes.

·       one referee related to your study or work in the field of spiritual care.

All applications will be considered by the SCA Scholarship Conference Awards Committee and successful applicants will be those whose applications most closely align to the criteria in order of when applications are received.

Please email the relevant criteria to admin@spiritualcareaustralia.org.au. Applications close on 12 June 2024.
